Our Purpose

Navienta was created to support senior leaders at the most difficult moment in strategy: making high-stakes decisions when the path forward is unclear. In volatile and complex environments, leaders are often asked to act with confidence despite incomplete information, competing priorities, and real consequences.

Navienta exists to help leaders slow down, think clearly, and make better strategic choices under uncertainty.

Our Vision

To be the most trusted strategy partner for senior leaders at growth-oriented small and mid-sized organizations who value rigorous thinking and disciplined execution — combining expert advisory with decision-support tools they can use independently.

To help senior leaders at small and mid-sized organizations turn insight into practical strategy and disciplined execution — by asking better questions, surfacing critical trade-offs, and applying rigorous frameworks to the decisions that matter most.

Our Mission

Strategy work tends to fail in one of two ways: too much analysis and no decision, or too much action and no reflection. Navienta is built on three principles that guide how we work:

Uncertainty is a permanent condition, not a temporary problem. Our role is to help leaders think well under it, not pretend to remove it.

Frameworks are thinking tools, not answer machines. We use rigorous strategy frameworks to surface assumptions and trade-offs — not to replace leadership judgment.

Decisions are the unit of strategy work. We measure ourselves on whether leaders make better decisions, not on the volume of analysis or the length of the report.

Our Philosophy

About the Founder

Dr. Sangbum Ro is the founder of Navienta and a strategic decision-making advisor with over 13 years of experience helping leaders navigate complex strategic challenges.

He holds a PhD in Business Administration with a specialization in strategic management and has served as a business school faculty member, researcher, and advisor. His academic work focuses on how leaders make decisions under uncertainty — the same problem that drives Navienta’s advisory and software work.

Sangbum works directly with every client. There are no junior consultants or account managers between you and the founder. He also designed every one of Navienta’s eleven decision-support tools, translating the frameworks he teaches and researches into practical, web-based applications.

Two railroad tracks diverge and run through a rural area with leafless trees and shrubs on either side, under an overcast sky.

Navienta works in a focused, advisory capacity. Engagements are structured, facilitative, and designed to support leadership judgment rather than execution.

Typical work includes:

  • Clarifying strategic decisions and decision contexts

  • Surfacing assumptions, risks, and constraints

  • Exploring strategic options and trade-offs

  • Facilitating executive discussion and alignment

We do not provide implementation or operational management. Leaders retain full ownership of decisions and execution.

How We Work

How We’re Different

Founder-led, every engagement. Dr. Ro works directly with every client — no junior teams, no account managers.

Software plus advisory. Most strategy firms sell hours. Most SaaS tools sell features. Navienta pairs expert advisory with a purpose-built suite of decision-support tools — so the same methodology works whether you want an expert in the room or want to drive the work yourself.

Research-grounded, not ideology-driven. Our frameworks come from current strategic management research, not a single consulting playbook sold at scale.

Who We Work With

Navienta works with:

  • Senior leaders and executive teams

  • Founders and owners of small and mid-sized organizations

  • Organizations facing growth decisions, change, or strategic inflection points

We are best suited for leaders who value clarity, disciplined thinking, and constructive challenge.
